Jefferson County is a county in the Arkansas Delta of the U.S. state of Arkansas. As of the 2020 census, the population was 67,260.[1] Its county seat and largest city is Pine Bluff.[2] Jefferson County was founded on November 2, 1829, and named for Thomas Jefferson,[3] third President of the United States (1801–1809).
