  • Does the job nicely.
  • This program works and is useful. The UI leaves something to be desired, at least when running on Linux Mint Cinnamon. Sourceforge offers version 3.6.1 but, oddly, Mint's repositories has a version that seems to be newer. The program itself, when installed from the Mint repository, identifies itself merely as version '3.6.', but `apt list linssid` shows '3.6-7build1'; and trying to install the Sourceforge version over the repository version generates a warning about a downgrade.
  • Great WIFI tool. Compiled version 3.6, running on raspbian stretch on the raspberry pi platforms. Very useful.
  • Great!
  • Simply what I was looking for, a simple and easy tool to scan spots from a wifi network with easy configuration and graphical intuitive interface (time line) for linux (Ubuntu). It worked like a charm just out of the box! Great!!
  • Just installed on Ubuntu 14.04 32 bit. Quick and easy install and seems to be working well but have one issue. On apt-get update I get the following: GPG error: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 55E2097C08E6D617 Didn't stop me from installing but had to disable to stop the nag whenever I update. Will have to remember to periodically re-enable to see if it's fixed so I don't miss updates i guess.
  • Works very well, Mint Precise.
  • If you're aiming for a simple, inssider like application to set up your wifi, this is a must.

  • Hi Warren, At first LinSSID worked like a charm, but...... suddenly a couple of weeks ago it crashed after a few seconds without showing any data. I'm using Ubuntu 12.10. I recently updated and upgraded but this did not change the malfunctioning of LinSSID alas. Please help me out, 'cause i really liked LinSSID. Take care, yoepie
  • Excellent program, I love the simple clean interface and the one option that is missing from other similar programs such as iwScanner which is it shows you the name of the access points router, such as if it is TP-Link, or D-Link etc... I only give it 1 star short of 5 because it doesn't shut down right away after pressing the exit button but you have to press it a couple of times before it prompts a force quit, minor detail takes about 5 seconds, sure it will be easily fixed in a future version.
  • 3.2.0-35-generic-pae #55-Ubuntu SMP Wed Dec 5 18:04:39 UTC 2012 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux linssid_1.8a-1_i386.deb "Could NOT find any Ethernet Wireless Interface."
