We just learned that our $10,000 grant proposal was approved by the International Space Station National Laboratory Center for Advancement of Science in Space! We’ll be incorporating a “Space Lab” using resources from ISS National Lab Space Station Explorers (SSE) educational partners, NASA, and other STEM learning toolkits. This will be a partnership between SPC, Pinellas County Schools, and other community groups. I can’t wait to get started on this initiative!
The iLab had the honor of hosting another World Partnerships and U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program for their “U.S. Technology and Solutions for Waste-to-Energy Initiatives” project for Pakistan. There were visitors from the Sindh Environmental Protection Agency, Energy Departments (Punjab and Sindh), the Green Building Council, and other Pakistani energy organizations. These people are brilliant and I realized that I have a lot to learn about our global energy issues.
