I recently studied public policy at the University of Bristol. I earned a master's and PhD in political science and public administration at Ankara University and studied energy policy (mainly renewables, gas, and oil) at Lancaster University in the UK. My main research interest is the geopolitics of energy relations between the European Union and Turkey. It covers gas and oil pipeline projects (TANAP, TAP, BTC, and TurkStream) in Eurasia (Europe, the Black Sea, the East Mediterranean, the Middle East, the Caspian region, the Caucasus, Russia, and Central Asia). I am working on alternative gas and oil routes and sources for Europe after the Russian-Ukrainian war. I am also interested in researching public policy issues, including leadership, corruption, and migration.
