This study deals with the assessment of the process of the teaching practice that is part of the ... more This study deals with the assessment of the process of the teaching practice that is part of the curriculum of the Department of the English Language in the College of Basic Education for the 4 th grade students as the requirements of being qualified teachers after their graduates since the mission of the process in the college of Basic Education is to organize teaching practice for the practitioners. Practicing is a key element in helping the practitioners to teach and use the methods of teaching; therefore the institute should try to provide the curricula that enable the practitioner to practice the skills of teaching as effectiveness. As the consequence and in the accordance to the regulations of College of Basic Education, students of the forth stage have to practice teaching in specific basic schools and attend these schools regularly (45 days) as per the school time table, because practice is a process of rehearsing certain behavior for learning and improving the performance and helps practitioners to be proficient in their specialization. The objective of the study is to provide the department with feedback about practitioners' progress and how effective its policy has been in achieving its intended learning outcomes. Assessment also provides practitioners with educative feedback to enable them relate their performance to the standard expected, and consequently improve their work. The study adopted both qualitative and quantitative researches methods in achieving its purposes, because by these methods the pedagogical objectives and its implications can be identified. The study presents an overview on practicing and features of effective teaching practice. Also the study deals with the components of teaching practice that include observation, practicing and the course book of observation and practicing in addition to the course objectives, unit projects or lesson plan, observation checklist and self-assessment and teachers assessment as well as the data collection and the results of the assessments. At the end the study presents conclusion of the study, recommendations with the list of references and appendences. Given the role that education plays in preparing students to go into the world, it seems clear that there should be a connection between the world and the classroom. Unless education reflects the world in which it exists, it has no relevance for the students. The study mainly explores the crucial facts behind teaching technology and its incomplete integrity within the process of pedagogical application in educational settings. The major concerns of this study center broadly on the accessibility of such a supportive additional means into education and its application as to facilitate and enhance learning outcomes. The study aims integrally at the following questions, firstly; what is the students' perspective towards current comprehensive involvement of the course? , secondly; to what extent did the students benefit in courses of teaching technology during various sessions? The study is composed of two fractions: theoretical and practical sections. The practical one is done through exposing students a number of questions and viewpoints in a questionnaire and then they are required to do in response to the items out of the questionnaire. ٢
