Stereochilus marginatus[2][3][5][6][7][8] är en groddjursart som först beskrevs av Hallowell 1856. Stereochilus marginatus är ensam i släktet Stereochilus som ingår i familjen lunglösa salamandrar.[9][10] IUCN kategoriserar arten globalt som livskraftig.[1] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[9]
Denna salamander förekommer från sydöstra Virginia till nordöstra Florida i USA.[3]
