In fact, how Christians understand the relationship between the Sinai covenant and the New covenant influences their doctrinal and denominational stances.
Consequently, to establish a clear understanding of the Book of the Covenant is crucial for proper biblical exegesis of one of the most important pericopes in the Pentateuch. This is the aim of this study, to establish a better understanding of the first chapter of the Sinai Narrative, Exodus 19.

This study aims to understand the primary function of the Piʿel stem in light of its relationship with the Hiphʿil stem. This paper argues that the Piʿel stem has a primary intensive function with some qualifications and that this function is related to its morphology.

Does the Joseph narrative have significant testing features? Is there any considerable testing theme flowing through the Pentateuch and even through the whole Bible? In this book, Gregory S. Smith explores the theology of testing with exceptional scholarly talent. Starting from discussing the range of meaning of main Hebrew terms of testing in the Bible and the ancient world, then concentrating on the contribution of Joseph narrative (Gen 37- 50), connecting it with similar contexts in the Pentateuch, and finally detecting the theological testing theme through the different books of the Bible.

This interpretive process should consider the historical-grammatical analysis of the biblical text and its theological message. That said, this exegetical process is never easy, to say the least; it demands a lot of work and effort. Even after doing all the hard work, the preacher/ teacher is left with almost no clue how to translate this authorial intent from its specific context to his contemporary audience. Kaiser provides an exegetical method to solve this dilemma, namely the syntactical exegetical theology method. This method emends the gap between the grammatical-historical study of Scripture and the delivery of the biblical message to those in the pews.

Rydelnik argues that Messianic Prophecy is essential to a proper reading of the
Hebrew Bible. Furthermore, he affirms that the hope for the Messiah is not a result of a pesher method of interpretation of Old Testament Prophecy. But it goes back to Old Testament times and was intended by the original authors of the biblical texts.
