When Petunia was found by Hope for Paws, a rescue organization in Los Angeles, she was scared and dirty from living on the streets for months. Her rescuers noticed that she was lactating and so after they caught her they started to search the area for her babies. They soon found Petal, a 3-day-old puppy, and the anxious mother and daughter were reunited. Now Petal and Petunia are fully recovered and safely off the streets!

I'm so glad the dog found a new home. Knowing how incredibly happy and loving dogs can be makes it even more heartbreaking to see them so desperate and broken. There's too much unhappiness in the world - and so much of it unnecessary.
