三国港の神明社側にあるお寿司屋さんです。
宿の仲介でこちらを予約。子連れで利用させていただきました。
三国港の集落の細い路地を奥へ奥へ進むと現れる小さなお寿司屋さん。自力ではまず辿り着けない様な地域密着型のお店です。
歴史ある店内はカウンター4席と小さな四人掛けのテーブル1卓とほぼ我が家だけで貸切状態。
と、おもむろに白髪の大将がにこやかにTシャツ姿で板場へ。ベテランの職人さんですがとても親しみやすい人柄です。
新鮮な地魚のお造りから始まり焼き物が出てくる頃にはビールから地酒へチェンジ。キリッと冷えた一本義美味い。
そしてお待ちかねの握りが始まると地魚の新鮮さと大将のスキルに唸るばかり。芋の水割り下さい。
〆はこちらの名物自家製へしこの握り。寿司ネタに合う様に塩分量が調整されており鯖の旨味も邪魔していません。旨い。
話好きな大将からへしこのバリエーションや地区の山車祭り、昔の港の様子などいろんな話が伺えてとても楽しく過ごせました。
旅先でこんなお店に出会えると本当に得した気分になりますね。ごちそうさまでした。
