2024年3月_土曜日の17:30で予約して初訪問。
コチラの「てんぷら高七」さんは、東西線・早稲田駅から、南の徒歩圏内に位置する、2024年で創業140年になる、老舗の天ぷら店。
夜の営業は予約可能との事だったので、予約して開店時刻の少し前に到着。開店時刻を過ぎても暖簾が外に出ないなぁと思っていると、店主から連絡があり、「暖簾出していませんが、入店できますので」との事で、入店。
小上がりの掘り炬燵テーブル席に案内されて着席。この日は、ご家族が帰省されていて不在で、店主お一人で、予約客のみの営業のため、暖簾を敢えて出していなかったそう。
卓上のメニューを確認し、店主の説明も頂いて、

をトータルでオーダー。店主から、単品オーダーの天ぷら3種は、先にお酒のつまみとして出しますね」との声かけがあり、了承して楽しみに待ちます♪
先ずは"瓶ビール"と"お通し:500円"が到着。
"お通し"は、"あん肝"と"蒸し芋"で、特に"あん肝"はメチャ濃厚で、上手に仕上がっていて、ビールのお供に最高!
それから、単品オーダーの天ぷら3種が到着。"いか"は、素揚げしたモノと2種用意され、"ほたて"は立派な大きさのモノが2個。"はぜ"も含めて、綺麗な揚げ感です♪
実食すると、見た目の良さげな感じ通り、どれも美味美味です(^^)衣は、素材の旨味を閉じ込め、美味しさを引き上げるために纏わせている、そんな上手な引き立て役になってます。
どの天種も、衣でガチガチに覆われている天ぷらでは無く、その天種の食感を楽しめます♪
"はぜ"は、身がふわっとしていて、尾びれの部分を残していたら、店主が「この尾びれの部分も美味しいので、是非食べてみて下さい」と仰られ、実際に食べてみると、カリッと火が通っていて確かに美味い!
それぞれの単品オーダー天ぷらをビールと共に堪能(^^)その状況を見計らって、"海老天ぷらごはん"の提供について声かけがあり、お願いし、しばらくして到着。

塩に天つゆ、ビールにごはんと、色々な組み合わせで食べ進め、お腹いっぱいになりました(^^)
これだけ頂いて、トータル5,000円台とは恐れ入ります。
この日は、他に2組3人の予約のお客さんがいらっしゃいましたが、皆さん地元の常連様みたいで、地元の方々に愛されているのが、会話からも理解できました。末永く続いて欲しい、そんなお店です。
