Although a small body of such comparative research does exist, it is apparent that this line of research comes with particular methodological challenges. In this review, 20 studies comparing simulation modalities in emergency medicine were analyzed in terms of key methodological factors. Results of this literature review show that (1) past studies are largely underpowered to detect effects of the magnitude likely to be found, (2) researchers seeking to demonstrate equivalence of training approaches do not use appropriate statistical tests of equivalence, and (3) studies often use performance criterion test beds that may not support valid conclusions about trainees' future performance on the job. We discuss strengths and weaknesses of reviewed studies along these issues and recommend ...

The paper recognizes the pervasive nature of religion but argues that it can also be a resource for peace and social integration. The values in Christian education such love for neighbour, truth, reconciliation, forgiveness, abhorrence of social and moral vices in the society, hard work, accountability, etc, are sine qua non to peace-building and social integration. The paper addresses itself to the incessant religious crises in the country, rejecting religious hate language in favour of a language that promotes cordiality among the various ethnic and religious groups in Nigeria.

This is written against this backdrop. It explores the possibility of an interface between religious fundamentalism and democracy. This is significant because, no serious attention has been given to the rise and impact of violent religious fundamentalism especially in the context of Nigeria's democratic experiment.

The thrust of the paper is that achieving justice in Nigeria is possible, even though difficult. It is pitched against the background of cases of injustice in Nigeria especially in the context of ethno-religious crisis. Education, advocacy, and networking among leaders, churches, NGOs, CBOs, RBOs, etc, in the fight against injustice, will lead to achieving justice to an appreciable degree.

The first part provides a historical account on the emergence of Baptists within the contexts of the seventeenth-century reformation in England, English separatist tradition, and religious persecution. It also tells the story of how Baptist work began in Nigeria and the growth witnessed over the years. The second part explores distinctive doctrinal stance of Baptist people.
