Re: Nested groups and Azure AD
Can you clarify this statement? "One group can be added as a member of another group, and you can achieve group nesting." Does that mean nested groups have limits on how many other groups can be added? One group only? Can nested groups be added to other nested groups? Not that we intend to do that, but I'm trying to understand the algorithm.57KViews1like1CommentRe: FAQ: Supporting Microsoft Store experiences on managed devices
What steps do we need to take in the consoles of Intune and ConfigMgr to change connectors, since they are currently pointed at the old Store? If the Store is no longer supported for ConfigMgr, do we delete the connector in our console?27KViews0likes0CommentsIntune Admin console - some columns don't sort
The Device Name and Primary user UPN columns for All Devices won't sort in my Intune console. How can this be resolved? I've added that in the feedback but there needs to be a way, other than opening a support ticket, to report a problem.1.1KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Company Portal inconsistencies for Windows apps assigned to devices
We need to target specific PCs but users can sign on to several different PCs. This is a huge problem in general with Intune as MSFT assumes for no valid reason that there is only one primary user and one PC for that user. Not that way for manufacturing businesses! My issue here is with the inconsistency between the Company Portal website and the Company Portal app. Telemetry should be the same, in any case.2KViews0likes2CommentsCompany Portal inconsistencies for Windows apps assigned to devices
We're deploying a Win32 app to Intune enrolled devices. Assigning as Required or Available to a Usergroup works as expected. The app shows as available in the Company Portal via both versions of the Company Portal: a URL in Edge (https://portal.manage.microsoft.com)or the Win 10 Start menu (Company Portal shortcut). Once installed, the app shows as installed in both Portal versions. However, when we assign as Required to a Devicegroup, the app installs but it doesn't show as available or installed via either versions of the Company Portal. There is no indication that it was assigned. If we also assign the app as Available to theUser group, along with Required for the Device group, the app will show as available in the Edge URL but asnot installed, even though it was installed. However, the app will show as installed in the Start menu version of Company Portal. This is confusing to our users and support personnel. We believe the Company Portal should show the same app information whether a user launches it from the Start menu or browses to the website.2.1KViews0likes4CommentsRe: Remote assistance with Quick Assist is changing
We found the shortcut doesn't work, but if we search for QA from Start, it does launch. But then it still tells us to update, but there's a little link below "Already installed it? Open it now" that works. First run can take quite few seconds.5KViews0likes1CommentRe: Microsoft 365 Apps for Windows 10 - Installation Error (0x87D1041C)
We have this error occur over time on all our M365 installs from Intune. It appears that M365 updates cause this error as it changes the version. The canned M365 setup from MSFT must take this into account, IMHO, and not cause fake errors in Intune. We can't have our users reinstall something that isn't broken.5.2KViews0likes0CommentsHow to upgrade Visio 2019 Std to 2019 Pro?
How do we replace Visio 2019 Std with 2019 Pro and vice versa? If we install Pro over Std, we then have both versions registered in Programs & Features. Is there an option within the configuration xml? We don't want to take extra steps in SCCM to uninstall one version prior to installing the other. Finding this issue on several Windows 10 PCs. After uninstalling the SCCM client, folder SensorFramework remains and can't be deleted. Contains 3 or more files that are not readable and security/ownership can't be changed, with names such as "c4eaa67d-dd9a-4fce-0002-000000000000.008". I can't find any documentation on this folder in the CCM directory. Anyone know what this folder is for? Thanks, Russell8KViews0likes2Comments
