Introducing JustAsk! - an innovative chatbot by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in India and Bayer, that ensures all young people, particularly those in underserved communities, have access to accurate information on sexual and reproductive health. JustAsk! was showcased at the recent #ICPD30 Global Dialogue on Technology by Dr. Claus Runge - exemplifying the power of multi-stakeholder collaboration to harness technology for social good. The chatbot, developed in partnership with Bayer, Government of Madhya Pradesh, and the Government of Rajasthan, aims to bridge the digital divide and ensure all young people have the resources they need to make informed choices about their health and well-being. Today, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Asia and the Pacific disseminated the findings of the State of World Population Report 2024 by hosting a briefing for media personnel at the Foreign Correspondents' Club of Bangkok, Thailand. During the media briefing, UNFPA's Regional Director, Mr. Pio Smith, and UNFPA's Regional Advisor for Sexual and Reproductive Heath and Rights and Maternal Health, Ms. Catherine Breen Kamkong, delved into the inequities that persist for women, girls, and marginalized communities and what more can be done to accelerate progress. The role of media was also highlighted in holding accountability, being a voice to the voiceless, and ensuring evidence-based ethical reporting on issues relating to women's health, safety, dignity and rights. We've just concluded the #ICPD30 Global Dialogue on Demographic Diversity and Sustainable Development in Dhaka, Bangladesh, with a clear call to action on accelerating the #ICPD promise for 2024 and beyond. 30 years ago, countries agreed to place individual rights and dignity at the heart of sustainable development. Today, we live in a demographically diverse world, impacted by climate change, migration and urbanization amidst deepening inequalities, leaving many behind. We must ensure that reproductive rights and choices are always upheld amidst these shifting demographic trends. This was the core of the discussion of the two-day Dialogue, which brought together 200+ experts from close to 50 countries across the world, in reaffirming the need for hard-fought rights to be upheld despite emerging global trends. We can only achieve the Sustainable Development Goals if we invest in rights and choices for all and this is our ICPD Promise for #OurCommonFuture 🧡 #GlobalGoals | United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)
