Student Awards
Making skills count - IABM Engineering Student Awards
Our flagship programme is the Engineering Student Awards. Every year IABM makes awards of expenses paid visits for students to IBC in Amsterdam. The successful students get to see the leading-edge technology which is showcased at IBC and get to meet technical experts and prospective employers. Over four days they have the chance to investigate and advance their own career futures and gain the opportunity to brief fellow students on their return.IABM works to support technical education, career development and access to employment within the broadcast and media technology sector worldwide.
The key priority for IABM’s Education Program is to collaborate with other industry stakeholders to stimulate the availability of engineering recruits into the industry for the future. This collaboration is based on securing and delivering pledges for actions across the industry to engage with young people and showcase the exciting career opportunities available in broadcast and media technology.
Students undertaking a technical education at degree level are often unaware of the amazing career opportunities that are available in the broadcast and media technology industry. Even where they see the chance, it can be difficult to make connections with the right people in the right companies.
