The Social Media Survey 2013 by Pearson shows that 41% of higher education faculty in the U.S. population has use social media in teaching in 2013 compared to 34% of them using it in 2012. A total of six participants were selected from among different departments at Sunway university. A qualitative method was used to achieve the objectives of this research through in-depth interviews. the causes of intercultural conflict and its management styles were assessed based on intercultural conflict and intercultural conflict management style theory. The participants’ feedback was transcribed and analyzed by using the deductive coding method which identified themes such as intercultural conflict, impact on intercultural conflict on relationships as well as intercultural conflict management styles that comprises of five categories, obliging, dominating, avoiding, compromising and integrating style. With the emergence of the World Wide Web (www), consumer and retailers can buy or sell products o... more With the emergence of the World Wide Web (www), consumer and retailers can buy or sell products over an electronic network primarily the internet. This phenomenon is known as E- commerce or Online Shopping. This simple idea has attracted millions of retailers and consumers which lead to a substantial growth in the industry. Consumers can choose from a variety of product or services and place an order from anywhere at any time and get it delivered to their doorsteps. Previous research in this field shows that consumers are still hesitant to trust online shopping websites as they doubt that the information shown in the website cannot be trusted and consumers feel hesitant to provide their personal information and payment information as they believe online shopping is not safe. The key factors in terms of marketing communication online are the marketers’ ability to produce authentic and relevant information and use communication symbols or trust signs which enables the consumers to trust the website. Hence in this paper the researchers seek to investigate the method of shopping which is preferred among undergraduates and to explore the reasoning behind it. Additionally, this paper seeks to identify the factors that influence the purchasing decision of consumers when shopping online. The findings will help marketers understand how to better communicate with consumers online via text, audio, visual symbols and signs.
