Dissertation:

My dissertation deals with the meaning and functions of late medieval sculpture polychromy. My main question is how technical solutions and chosen materials support the impact of art objects and their given subjects. Therefore in my research I integrate the results of the investigations conducted by conservators and combine them with the methods of art history. The aim of my research is to find out more about versatile functions and perception of sacred sculpture.
