Firstly, we analyzed the initial scale of 126 items, testing content validity and selecting 15 items per factor using the expert’s test. In testing the concurrent validity of the DS10 Scale we used two scales: BIDR (Paulhus, 1988) and the Crowne-Marlowe Scale (1964 apud Tatman, 2009). We also tested the internal consistency and the three dimenssional structure. The results stand for a solid scale, cosidering both concurrent validity and internal consistency, with a stable and well-defined factorial structure, including the three envisaged factors: impression management, self deception and utility.

Questionnaire, a scale we have built after the model of accentuated traits of the personality, proposed by Karl Leonhard (1972). The first study focuses on the concurrent validity, by analyzing the correlations between the factors of the envisaged questionnaire, namely D.A. (Accentuated Dimensions, version D.A. 3.07), and the factors of the P.A. test (Accentuated Personalities), the Romanian version, which has been translated and adapted by I. M. Nestor in 1975, from the original German questionnaire elaborated by H. Schmieschek. The two tools were administered on a sample of 752 subjects. The second study analyses the internal consistence and test-retest reliability of the two tests, D.A. 3.07 and P.A., after a year (N=431 subjects). The results show satisfactory internal consistence coefficients and also test-retest stability for the D.A. 3.07 (Constantin, Hojbotă, Nicul...

The following sections include a presentation of the premises and of the motivation supporting our independent construction of a personality-evaluation measure (i.e., the Big Five ), while also describing its design strategy and actual validation. The first stage of this empirical study (applied on a 302-subject panel-lot) led to the conclusion that the analyzed data distribution does not significantly differ from a normal distribution. During the second analysis stage, we examined the scores of the test-retest reliability procedure and concluded that these indicators are within accepta...

The questionnaire was built for applying in organizations and to resist social desirability. The theoretical background used in the construction of the questionnaire were part of the Big Five model for personality evaluation. The methods used in this study were specific to the construction and primary validation of a questionnaire: defining the factors, designing the items, verifying the content validity (expert testing). The constructed questionnaire was completed by 524 subjects from the general population. The results confirm the existence of five personality factors, as defined by the authors: sociability, incertitude, persistance, altruism and openness. These factors correspond to the 5 factors described in speciality literature. The study also analyzed the relations the five factors have with significant traits of personality measure...

There are a few studies on the Romanian population which link this variables and the consequences are not very pleasant in education, because there are many students who graduate high school and they do not know what career path to choose. Because of this, the study seeks to establish relationships between vocational interests and abilities and if Grade-Point Average (GPA) can be predicted by these variabiles. The lot of subjects consisted of 127 students from technological high schools who completed questionnaires of self-assessed abilities and vocational interests. The results showed that there is a relationship between abilities and social vocational interests, which may affect school performance. This result contributes to develop an identity structure during adolescence and it will help the decision making process for high sc...
