I started my journey as an EFL teacher in 2006. I hold a BA in TESOL by the University of Guanajuato (Mexico), where I worked as a professional English teacher, and collaborated as a research assistant with Dr. Irasema Mora Pablo. In 2010, I started working as a full time lecturer in Linguistics and ELT Methodology in the BA in Foreign Languages at the Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas. In 2014, I was awarded the degree of MA in English Language Teaching with distinction by the University of Southampton (UK). In 2016, I was granted a scholarship by the CONACYT to complete a PhD at Trinity College Dublin (Ireland) where I work under the supervision of Dr. Sarah O'Brien. My research project explores how students of Mexican descent relocated in Mexico construct their identity in their narratives of transnatonalism and return. Supervisors: Dr. Sarah O'Brien
