The method empirically measures an operator's cognitive and motor skills requisite for safely operating a motorized vehicle and verifies the person's identity. The invention includes three interlocking major subsystems. The first subsystem provides generalized impairment measurement unit.

This paper presents an additional component for identifying epileptiform activity and seizures from Electroencephalograms (EEG).

Lett. 100, 013506 (2012)], we inferred the existence of localized self-mixing in an antenna-coupled field-effect terahertz detector. In this Letter, we report a quasistatic self-mixing model taking into account the localized terahertz fields and its verification by comparing the simulated results with the experimental data in a two-dimensional space of the gate voltage and the drain/source bias.

The proposed categorization is based on numerical parameters. The motivation for this paper is based upon the fallibility of Hornbostel and Sachs generic classiffication scheme, most commonly used for categorization of musical instruments.

In the continuing goal of codifying the classification of musical sounds and rules for data mining we present the following classification methodology that produces a hierarchical granulation structure. The motivation for this paper is based upon the fallibility of Hornbostel/Sachs, the generic classification scheme used in Music Information Retrieval for instruments.

Also, it is known that non-temporal systems are diametrically unconducive to pitch analysis, an imperative for key and scalar analysis which determine emotions in music. Furthermore, even in a temporal MIR system one can only find the key if the scale is known or vice-versa, one can only find the scale if the key is known.

Music is one of possible media to express emotions. However, perception of music depends on many aspects and is very subjective. This paper focuses on collecting and labelling data for further experiments on discovering emotions in music audio files. The database of more than 300 songs was created and the data were labelled with adjectives.
