The Valenture Institute launched the UCT Online High School in June 2021.

Alignment to Vision 2030

As UCT’s Vision 2030 affirms, UCT is committed to solving the key challenges of the continent, in this case the Valenture Institute by agreement with UCT are working to close the secondary education inequality gap to unleash the potential of Africa’s children.

The UCT Online High School is an ecosystem that has been designed to enable access to affordable, high quality, online learning opportunities for learners from all socioeconomic backgrounds from across the country and continent.

The ecosystem comprises three distinct offerings, as well as a scholarship and bursary programme:

  1. South African National Senior Certificate (CAPS) Curriculum
  2. Adult Matric Preparation Programme
  3. Free Curriculum (SA National Senior Curriculum, CAPS aligned)
  4. Learning Liberated Scholarship & Bursary Programme for 2025 (SA National Senior Curriculum, CAPS aligned)
