Doutora em Literatura Comparada e Teoria da Literatura pela Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). Possui mestrado e especialização em Literatura Brasileira pela mesma instituição. Bacharel e licenciada em Letras: Português/Inglês pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). É professora de inglês na rede estadual de ensino do Rio de Janeiro e trabalha no Centro de Artes da Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF).

Este trabalho tem como objetivo verificar como Cyro dos Anjos apresenta em seu livro de memorias:... more Este trabalho tem como objetivo verificar como Cyro dos Anjos apresenta em seu livro de memorias: A menina do sobrado , a sua formacao como escritor literario e as influencias que teve ate chegar ao movimento modernista mineiro, liderado por Carlos Drummond de Andrade. Atraves dessa observacao, notaremos o quao importante essa escrita autobiografica e para que se entendam as escolhas narrativas de Cyro como autor e a perspectiva do mesmo sobre um dos mais relevantes momentos literarios de nossa literatura: o Modernismo, pois como afirma Helmut Galle, o espaco autobiografico e um espaco privilegiado para observar esse dialogo entre o escritor, a sua epoca e as suas expectativas.

Nesse estilo, o autor de O guarani desenvolve um tipo de realismo que nao se atem apenas a descricao, contudo, da a ela um contorno poetico. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Jose de Alencar, estilo, realismo.
RESUMO: Mrs. Dalloway, romance de Virginia Woolf, destaca em sua narrativa olhares de personagens... more RESUMO: Mrs. Dalloway, romance de Virginia Woolf, destaca em sua narrativa olhares de personagens que questionam o sentido da vida e a relação do homem com o seu tempo e espaço. Entretanto, o olhar do personagem Septimus Warren Smith comporta-se como um olhar desviante dos demais, pois a experiência direta que teve com a morte na guerra o faz enxergar o mundo de maneira diferente. Nesse artigo levar-se-á em consideração a proposta de Walter Benjamin no que concerne a experiência que a morte traz para a narrativa, sancionando a voz do narrador, bem como a de Theodor Adorno, no sentido de o romance em questão trazer em si o desencantamento do homem com o mundo. Analisar-se-á também como esse sujeito do início do século XX, em crise com o mundo em que vive, tem um olhar transgressor, que busca a escuridão que há por detrás da luz de sua época, como adverte Giorgio Agamben sobre o homem contemporâneo. formação, pr... more A inegável influência de José de Alencar na literatura brasileira no seu processo de formação, principalmente por meio de seus romances, já é assunto bem discutido em muitos trabalhos críticos. Todavia, a dramaturgia de Alencar também ocupa um lugar de importância dentro do contexto literário nacional. Neste artigo, analisaremos a influência do realismo teatral francês na escrita dramatúrgica de Alencar, o papel relevante da moralidade no teatro alencariano e a crítica de Machado de Assis sobre a produção teatral de Alencar. Levaremos em consideração para essa análise o estudo de João Roberto de Faria: José de Alencar e o teatro, referente ao impacto das peças alencarianas na época, bem como a construção de um teatro nacional pautado no instinto de nacionalidade de um dos maiores escritores da literatura brasileira.
