Resumo: A Guerra Colonial (1961-1974) inscreve-se na história de Portugal como uma memória traumá... more Resumo: A Guerra Colonial (1961-1974) inscreve-se na história de Portugal como uma memória traumática, uma vez que se trata de um período de tensão e ruptura da identidade coletiva da nação. Durante os treze anos de combates, o império português viveu uma relação extremamente conturbada e violenta com suas colônias ultramarinas no continente africano, sendo obrigado a combater os movimentos de independência a fim de evitar o desmembramento físico e identitário da nação. O presente ensaio analisa a representação da memória da Guerra Colonial no romance Até que as pedras se tornem mais leves que a água, publicado por António Lobo Antunes em 2017. A literatura portuguesa surgida a partir da experiência da guerra busca simbolizar, traduzir e transformar em linguagem, por meio do simbólico e das estratégias narrativas da arte, a dor, o trauma e o luto gerados pelo conflito armado que marcou toda uma geração de portugueses e africanos.

O presente ensaio analisa a representação da memória do Holocausto no romance Uma menina está pe... more O presente ensaio analisa a representação da memória do Holocausto no romance Uma menina está perdida no seu século à procura do pai, de autoria do escritor português Gonçalo M. Tavares. Publicado em 2014, cerca de 70 anos após o final da Segunda Guerra Mundial, evento responsável por marcar profundamente o século XX, a narrativa é ambientada em um cenário pós-guerra, revisitando, assim, as consequências traumáticas de uma das maiores catástrofes da história da humanidade. O romance de Gonçalo M. Tavares aponta para a necessidade de não esquecimento dos traumas do passado. A literatura assume-se como um discurso de memória, dotada de um compromisso ético e político. Leonardo von Pfeil Rommel-UFRGS O presente ensaio analisa o livro de contos Reza de mãe (2016) de... more Leonardo von Pfeil Rommel-UFRGS O presente ensaio analisa o livro de contos Reza de mãe (2016) de autoria do escritor Allan da Rosa quanto à sua particularidade em exercer, por meio do discurso literário, a criação de um espaço de memória sobre o cotidiano das periferias do Brasil. Sua literatura, ao representar sujeitos marginalizados e espaços periféricos na sociedade contemporânea, ergue-se como uma voz de resistência, que afronta, questiona e repensa a identidade e a cultura nacional brasileira em tempos de crise e ruptura política, social e econômica, iniciados no país a partir de 2013 com as Jornadas de Junho. Nascido na cidade de São Paulo, Allan da Rosa atua como editor, educador, mestre angoleiro e escritor. Graduou-se em História pela Universidade de São Paulo (USP), obteve o título de mestrado e atualmente realiza o curso de doutoramento pela mesma instituição. Dedica-se a pesquisas que abordam temáticas ligadas a ancestralidade, imaginário e cotidiano negro. Destaca-se também pelo seu ativismo social, realizando oficinas de estética, dança, cultura e política afro-brasileira nas comunidades periféricas da Grande São Paulo. Integra desde o início o movimento da Literatura Periférica atuando como editor do selo "Edições Toró". Allan da Rosa iniciou sua carreira literária através da poesia com o livro Vão (2005). Também publicou Da Cabula (2007), texto teatral, Zagaia (2007), infanto-juvenil, Morada (2007), poesia e fotografia, em pareceria com Guma, e novamente poesia, com A Calimba e a Flauta: Versos Úmidos e Tesos (2012) em trabalho conjunto com Priscila Preta. Reza de mãe, lançado em 2016, é composto por 14 contos e trata-se da primeira publicação em prosa do escritor. Como aponta Eduardo de Assis Duarte (2016), em texto presente na orelha da capa e contracapa do livro, em Reza de mãe "o poeta fala. (...), em todos os textos do livro. E traduz a periferia e a condição subalterna em formas, tons e modos distintos, sempre surpreendentes". Em Reza de mãe percebe-se a marcante influência da vertente poética do autor na construção das diferentes narrativas, que são, em sua maioria, bastante breves e contam com um trabalho refinado da linguagem. O presente artigo analisa o romance O esplendor de Portugal (1997), de autoria do escritor portug... more O presente artigo analisa o romance O esplendor de Portugal (1997), de autoria do escritor português António Lobo Antunes, quanto à sua particularidade em representar e problematizar a descolonização portuguesa em África. Por intermédio da literatura, Lobo Antunes busca dar voz aos colonos portugueses retornados, uma geração estigmatizada pela sociedade e pelo poder estatal português no período pós-Revolução dos Cravos. A literatura apresenta-se, assim, como espaço de questionamento da história e da identidade nacional portuguesa no período pós-imperial. A fim de refletir sobre o processo de descolonização e sobre a literatura pós-colonial, são utilizados autores como Eduardo Lourenço (2013) e Margarida Calafate Ribeiro (2006).

Through literature, Lobo Antunes seeks to give voice to Portuguese settlers returned from ex-colonies, a generation stigmatized by society and Portuguese state in the period after the Carnation Revolution. Literature thus presentes itself as a space for questioning Portuguese history and national identity in the post-imperial period.
