Vera Felicidade de Almeida Campos, conhecida como Vera Felicidade, é psicóloga, criadora da psicoterapia gestaltista, teoria psicoterápica baseada na Psicologia da Gestalt. Seu trabalho se caracteriza por ter desenvolvido uma prática clínica e uma teoria que a suporta, fundamentada na gestalt e na fenomenologia, rompendo com conceitos psicanalíticos que influenciam praticamente todas as abordagens da psicologia clínica, mesmo as abordagens gestálticas. Formou-se na Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro - UFRJ. Vera Felicidade is a Brazilian psychologist, graduated from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro - UFRJ. She has been working in psychotherapy since the late sixties and is considered an authority on Gestalt in Brazil. She is the author of 10 books, the first one published in 1973 and the last one in 2015, all of them been a result of conceptual development of a psychotherapeutic theory she has created and named Psicoterapia Gestaltista. This theory is a psychotherapeutic counterpart of Gestalt Psychology and the author is identified as a thinker very much concerned with epistemology and with the confrontation of dualisms easily found in psychology. Vera is influenced by Gestalt Psychology, Phenomenology and Dialectical Materialism. Besides of daily work in psychotherapeutic clinical care and the writing of books, she has been regularly publishing papers in specialized magazines and newspapers (in Portuguese). Vera - Haveria. A neurose, hoje em dia, poderia ser sinônimo de massificação; então, as pessoas ontem seriam menos neuróticas porque eram menos massificadas. Se se admitir neurose como despersonalização, é igual em qualquer época. Se se admitir como repressão sexual, a humanidade, hoje em dia, não tem neurose. Num sentido universal, "neurose é distorção perceptiva", e essa distorção, agora, é engendrada principalmente pela massificação; antigamente, não tinha "aldeia global", havia lugar para regionalismos, clãs…
Por meio de sucessivas vivências, percepções e relacionamentos, estruturamos necessidades. Por meio de sucessivas vivências de aberturas, participação, determinação, disponibilidade, estruturamos possibilidades.
