Asthma also disproportionately affects ethnic and racial minorities, especially African Americans. Although asthma is a common pediatric respiratory ailment, individuals of all ages can develop asthma. The key feature of asthma is chronic inflammation which can be attributed to both the innate and adaptive immune response, which is associated with Th1 and Th2 responses. T-cell responses have a major role in autoimmune disorders, allergies, and asthma, which is reflected in the Hygiene Hypothesis This review will relate the disease dynamics of asthma with the consequences of mismatch with modern environments, seen with higher rates of obesity, and the modern-day absence of exposure to microbes detailed with the Hygiene Hypothesis and the subsequent Th2 modulation. Through understanding the evolutionary factors of the immune system functioning in the respiratory system, both the public and healthcare practitioners will be better able to diagnose and prevent severe asthma.

This resulting in high rates of neoplasms and cardiovascular disease in the country, making them the top two causes of death, according to data obtained by the Institute of Metrics and Health Evaluation. All the while, equal distribution of healthcare specialists has been on the decline in regions of northern and eastern France. It is believed that the distribution of healthcare specialists and rates of neoplasms and cardiovascular disease are also correlated. In this review, policies in strengthening the health information system -to better analyze and treat issues such as neoplasms and cardiovascular disease- and the healthcare workforce -to achieve equal distribution of healthcare specialists- are proposed. In doing so, it is possible that France’s health system as a whole can achieve its full potential, while providing equal access to medical care and addressing its high rates of neoplasms and cardiovascular disease.
