For my essay, I chose the character Ernie "Chip" Douglas from the 1996 film "The Cable Guy" as one who represents those with borderline personality disorder.

As an aspiring philosophy professor, I tend to find myself immersed in philosophical thought quite often. Although it pains me most days to stray from my beloved philosophizing, I shall now temporarily lay aside all philosophical contemplation in order to ponder the (hopefully) equally intriguing subject of how it is that I found myself on the road to becoming a professor of philosophy...

Hi everyone,
I wrote this paper for my History of 18th Century Philosophy class at the University of Houston. According to my philosophy adviser, this is one of the most difficult philosophy classes available at UH. I'm proud to say that I received an A- on this paper (and an A- in the class)! To be honest, I was surprised I did so well since I entered this class after having not been in school for over a year. Hard work really pays off!
Anyways, please let me know what you think! My professor has already commented on my work, but I'd love to hear the opinions of others as well. She wrote, "Your thesis could have been a bit more specific and the conclusion was also a bit quick [my excuse is that we had a 5 page limit ;P], but overall this is a well argued and well written paper." If you agree or have any other suggestions on how I can improve my writing please don't hesitate to let me know! Thanks so much.
