Pilar Segarra
Pilar Segarra Cabedo has a PhD in Psychology from Universitat Jaume I and she is Associate Professor in Department of Basic and Clinical Psychology and Psychobiology.Member of the Affective Neuroscience Lab at Universitat Jaume I, her research interests are focused on clinical neuroscience since 1990. Her research aims to implement methods from cognitive and affective neuroscience (psychophysiological recordings, both peripheral and central) in the study of psychopathy and other externalizing disorders, so as to understand them in terms of individual differences on the neurobehavioral constructs of defensive reactivity and inhibitory control.She has 2 evaluated research periods and, during the last 8 years, she has published 8 research papers in international JCR journals (2 Q1, 4 Q2). She has participated in 15 research projects with public funding. Other main contributions are the Spanish standardization of the International Affective Picture System (IAPS) and the adaptation of several instruments for assessing psychopathy (PCL-R, PPI-R, TriPM).Her teaching includes subjects in first cycle of the degree in Psychology (mainly in the topic Psychology of learning and behavior), in Doctorate studies, and also in Master's Degree in Psychopathology, Health and Neuropsychology, with an overall evaluation of teaching competencies of 'Good' during the last 5 academic years.
