The INEOS Grenadier will be the official vehicle partner for New Zealand’s Search and Rescue Dogs Avalanche (SARDA) which operates search and rescue dog teams in alpine environments across most major ski areas and high mountains throughout New Zealand. The 4X4 will be customised to SARDA’s needs using lightweight materials, state-of-the-art fixings and dog kennels to ensure the rescue dogs and equipment are safe and secure during critical missions. The vehicles will also be equipped with a sophisticated WiFi communications hub, ensuring team members always maintain a reliable line of communication with all other emergency rescue crews. Karyn Robertson, National Coordinator of SARDA NZ, added: “Having access to the Grenadiers will make a huge difference to our rescue operations. In the event of an avalanche, the vehicle can deploy handlers and dogs quickly but safely to help sweep the area.
