NHS Bradford and Craven District Talking Therapies faced a significant challenge: their web-based self-referral form led to numerous dropouts and incomplete submissions, costing them valuable time and leaving many in their community without the help they needed. AI in health fails when it doesn't integrate with the existing tech stack. It was true of MYCIN, the 1970's clinical decision support tool to diagnose infectious diseases. And it's true today, where unfortunately, interoperability can often mean playing political chess with all the patient management systems, platforms, apps and point solutions.
