SUMMARY... more POST-PRODUCTION AND TECHNICAL INFRASTRUCTURE AT THE BEGINNING YEARS OF THE TURKISH CINEMA SUMMARY Discussing the first years of the Turkish Cinema at the ground of cinema-technology relations, this research aims at explaining under which conditions it was operated during this period, in respect of technical infrastructure and post-production. Within this context, the concept of post-production has been defined as the processes carried out after the shooting of a film. Since the sources regarding the subject are limited, oral history research studies as well as recollections of the filmmakers who operated at those years have been capitalized on. Examining the development of post-production techniques in the discussed historical period, it can be asserted that at the beginning years, not sufficient investments were made to technical infrastructure and post-production processes were carried out under tough conditions. This was affected by the political economic structure of the era, as well as the inadequacy of those working in this field, with respect to technical equipments. Therefore, the Turkish Cinema's attaining a technical infrastructure similar to those in Europe and the United States has been put back, although cinema has entered the Ottoman territories immediately after its invention. Furthermore, such deficiencies in the technical infrastructure have affected the technical-aesthetic quality of the films adversely. Keywords: Cinema, art, technology *

Yönetmenin bu yaklaşımını ikonografisinden mizansene, karakterlerinden olay örgüsünün gelişimine kadar, filmlerinin biçimsel ve içeriksel yapısında gözlemlemek mümkündür. Bu bağlamda Wim Wenders sinemasını, ‘zamanın akışında’ ya da boşlukta, rock müzik eşliğinde gezinen; topluma yabancılaşmış, arayış içindeki karakterlerin/yolcuların duyarsızlık, iletişimsizlik ve Amerikan kültürü etkisindeki yollarda/mekanlarda geçen sonu belirsiz hikayelerine ait hüzünlü duygu resimleri olarak özetleyebiliriz.
