We have recently crystallized two unusual cubic cage structures which posses μ 2-O 2− and μ 3-S 2− bridges, respectively. Although nitrate anions occupy the pore in these two cationic frameworks, we anticipate that similar materials with open pores can be formed by the incorporation of the charge-compensating anion into the framework structure.

As inventions enter they expand or limit the reach of the ideas they build on by influencing how successive discoveries use those ideas. The approach is grounded in novel measures of the extent to which an innovation amplifies or disrupts the status quo. Those measures index the effects inventions have on subsequent uses of prior discoveries.

Prior work has demonstrated the endogenous nature of legal change by examining how organizational responses to ambiguous legislative mandates can become institutionalized and accepted by courts as legitimate indicators of compliance.

The [Pt(CN)6]2- dianions reside in the cavities within this grid, with the nitrile N atoms forming weak hydrogen bonds with the CH groups in the cationic lattice.
