Beberapa penelitian mendapatkan bahwa sebaran ikan tuna dapat diprediksi melalui analisis parameter tersebut pada perairan secara berkala dan dipetakan untuk menunjang kegiatan perikanan tuna setempat. Di perairan Maluku Utara bagian barat diperkirakan parameter ini juga terbentuk sehingga dapat dijadikan indikator keberadaan ikan tuna. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian empirik dengan metode eksperimental fishing, yaitu kegiatan penelitian yang dilakukan bersamaan dengan kegiatan penangkapan oleh nelayan. Delo Fufu merupakan kelompok usaha yang aktif dan produktif dalam mengolan produk ikan cakalang a... more Delo Fufu merupakan kelompok usaha yang aktif dan produktif dalam mengolan produk ikan cakalang asap sejak tahun 2016 dan produksi terus mengalami peningkatan sampai mencapai 1.260 kg per tahun pada tahun 2018, sejak tahun 2019 produksi ikan cakalang asap kelompk Delo Fufu mulai menurun dan puncaknya pada tahun 2020 menjadi 600 kg/tahun. Hasil evalusi melalui kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan dengan kunjungan lapang serta diskusi dan identifikasi masalah, didapat bahwa penyebab utama menurunnya jumlah produksi adalah rendahnya nilai mutu produk yang menyebabkan daya beli konsumen menurun sehingga kelompok Delo Fufu, sehingga kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan penyuluhan dan pelatihan agar kelompok usaha Delo Fufu tetap eksis dalam mengolah ikan cakalang asap. The collection of data on the condition of coral reefs and fish was carried out simultaneously, namely 1 dive at each station. Visual census method is used for reef fish data. The results of visual observation of reef fish in the waters of Maitara Island found that there were 13 familyes included in the major fish group consisting of 7 familyes, 1 family of indicator fish and 5 target fish groups.
