Cornel Bontea

My academic interests are primarily in Crusades history with emphasis on Later Crusades (14th century), military science and the art of war and the representation of the enemy in the crusading literature of the 14th century. I hold a BA in History and Medieval Studies from the University of Cluj (Roumania-2008) and an MA from the University of Montréal (Canada) in History and Teaching (2012). I’m presently undertaking a PhD at the University of Montréal, working on a thesis which explores multiple levels of the crusading theory of the 14th century: Ideology and representation of the crusade in the 14th century.
