The study employed a quantitative approach in which a Likert-scale type of questionnaire and online survey used as research instruments. The analysis technique used is cross tabulations with descriptions. The participants were 60 students from the ECDLPE department at Khomasdal campus. Participants were selected by using simple random sampling technique. The findings of this study revealed some challenges students encountered in the close down of the universities due to the outbreak of the pandemic Covid-19. The e-learning platforms rolled out and poses challenges to majority of the students because of the limited access to internet, poor network, and availability of digital devices and lack of the technical knowhow of these technological devices by some Namibian students. The implications of the study will benefit the students, lecturers, educational institutions and the Ministry of Higher Education, Training and Innovation. Hence, from the above stated findings, the study recommends that students and lecturers should be introduced to innovative and offline e-learning platforms to supplement classroom teaching and learning. Moreover, be of the benefit to students who may not have access to internet connectivities to catch up on backlogs. However it will also help educational institutions to prepare and have future backup plans that will ensure continuity of teaching and learning in case of similar encounter.

A qualitative research design was chosen to answer three research questions. Two sets of instruments (observational checklist and interview questionnaires) have been used to obtain information of reading comprehension and factors that influence it. Six hearing impaired students and five teachers were selected as the respondents through purposive sampling technique. The findings show that text with pictures can help to improve reading comprehension for students with hearing impairment. The implications of this study show that text with pictures motivate students with hearing impairment to read and it have to be encouraged in primary school. A more comprehensive study should be undertaken for higher order thinking skills and the use of interactive models for reading comprehension lessons for students with hearing impairment.

When parents interact with teachers and with their children to encourage mathematics learning, it builds a positive relationship that leads to better teaching and learning. Previous studies indicated that parental involvement affects learners' achievement. However, less is known about the effects of teacher perceptions of parental involvement on learners' mathematics achievement in primary school. The critical problem to be explored is teachers' perceptions toward parental involvement in learning mathematics. This paper investigates teachers' perceptions of parental involvement in teaching and learning mathematics. This study was guided by the following central question: What are teachers' perceptions of parental involvement in teaching and learning mathematics? The study used a qualitative exploratory case study design. Purposive convenience sampling is used to select research participants. The participants in the study are 18 junior primary teachers in Windhoek, Khomas Region, Namibia. Questionnaires and semi-structured interviews were administered to eighteen (18) teachers from selected schools located in Windhoek to explore teachers' perceptions of parental involvement in teaching and learning mathematics. The study's findings revealed that lack of parental support is one factor affecting the learners' achievement in mathematics, and the teachers need training on effectively involving the parents in learning mathematics. The anticipated contribution of the study is to motivate teachers and parents to collaborate in developing appropriate mathematical knowledge in children to understand mathematics concepts, to apply them in solving everyday problems and to encourage parents to support their children's mathematics learning, to equip parents with the necessary resources and skills for mathematics should we be faced with another disruption like the Covid-19 pandemic or exist in the future and for them to develop appropriate mathematical knowledge.

many countries. Current social isolation policies have led to a general move to online education including assessment. Authentic assessment activities are those that give students chances to practice finding solutions to real-world issues and challenges, so that upon graduation they are able to apply these
skills to issues and challenges they will face in their place of work. When students are able to do this
successfully, they are judged as work ready. The society is concerned about the integrity of students
being assessed online. Thus, there is a great need to find out strategies that institutions can take to
ensure the integrity of online authentic assessment practices so that the society can be assured that
the competencies of the program have been achieved by each student honestly. The study employs a
mixed-method research to gather data from higher education educators and students through questionnaires, surveys and document analysis. A mixed method research design is chosen to answer what
are the effective strategies for ensuring authentic assessment for online learning? Two sets of instruments (questionnaires and survey) are used to obtain information on the strategies to ensure integrity
of the online authentic assessment. Ten educators from high education and ten students are selected
as the respondents through purposive sampling technique. The findings will determine the effective
strategies that high education institutions can use to ensure the integrity of the online authentic assessment. The implications of this study will encourage the higher education institutions to use the effective
strategies that ensure the integrity of the authentic assessment.
