Als Beispiel dient der Blick auf den tibetischen Buddhismus des jesuitischen Missionars Ippolito Desideri (1684‒1733) anhand von Auszügen aus seinem Reisebericht und dem auf Tibetisch verfassten apologetischen Text „Der Ursprung der lebenden Wesen und aller anderen Dinge“ (sems can dang chos la sogs pa rnams kyi ’byung khungs).
