Miha Uhan
Miha Uhan, M.A. is a Teaching Assistant of Management and Organizational Theory at the Academic unit for management and organization of the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana. Uhan received his B.A. degree in Economics at the University of Ljubljana, the M.A. degree in Business Studies at University of Ljubljana, and he is currently a Ph.D. candidate of Management and Organization at the same institution. He has also attended the one-year JOSZEF program at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, for which he was awarded with the JOSZEF Certificate. He is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Alumni Network, Academy of Management Professional Association, International Association for Chinese Management Research (IACMR), WU Wien Alumni Club, SIFT Alumni Club, and FELU Alumni Club. He is also a member of the Slovenian team in the global Yin Yang: A new perspective on culture project.
Uhan is also actively involved in the teaching process at the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana – he currently holds the position of teaching assistant with two undergraduate and one postgraduate course. His primary area of expertise and research is the area of leadership - he conducts his Ph.D. research on the universalism of Daoist leadership and its transferability to other cultural settings. Uhan’s work experience range from the teaching assistant (current) to internships and project work with such renowned multinational corporations as Ernst & Young, Porsche, Henkel, and Pfizer. As far as leadership positions are concerned, Uhan was in charge of the organization of the conference within a research project on Slovenian local food-supply in autumn of 2011. Besides, he was the volunteer-organizer of the two consecutive UN WFP Walk the world events in Ljubljana in 2007 and 2008.
Uhan is fluent in Slovenian, English, and German. Besides, he also possesses the basic knowledge of Croatian and Chinese, and computer literacy. In his private life, Uhan is an eager sportsman, with cycling being his specialty. He has also been a member of the Slovenian National Baseball Team from 1998 to 2006.
