Përpjekjet për gjenerimin artificial të të folurit janë shumë të hershme, gjë që ndërlidhet me mundësitë e përdorimit të tij për qëllime të ndryshme. Gjenerimi në fjalë ka një rëndësi të veçantë për njerëzit e hendikepuar në të pamur, për përdorim në lojrat e ndryshme për fëmijë, në gjenerimin e numrave në mesazhet e ndryshme telefonike, si dhe në shumë raste tjera të jetës së përditshme. In this paper, in order to tackle one of the dozens of the challenging optimization problems in a... more In this paper, in order to tackle one of the dozens of the challenging optimization problems in aviation industry, we introduce an algorithm for planning the sequence of arrivals and departures of aircraft in a runway. The algorithm is based in Iterated Local Search (ILS) algorithm and uses two effective operators, namely swap and shift, for exploring the neighborhood of current running solution. The experiments that are conducted with real instances show that this approach achieves better results than the First Come First Served approach, while computing the results in relatively short period of time, which is in order of milliseconds.

Ever since it was created, in 2001, Wikipedia has grown with immense speed, enabling anyone the ability to edit articles, thus, establishing itself as one of the largest information sources on the Internet. Having become this popular, Wikipedia has become the source of an ever-increasing number of articles, created, modified and enhanced by different editors and, inadvertently, susceptible to various acts of vandalisms. This article aims to provide an overview of the initial research and developments in the field of machine learning applications in detecting anomalies in Wikipedia and future trends. Abstract. In this paper, we show how adaptive modeling within the statistical parametric speech s... more Abstract. In this paper, we show how adaptive modeling within the statistical parametric speech synthesis framework can be applied to Albanian dialects. We develop speaker dependent voices for the Tosk and Gheg dialect and adapt models for the Gheg dialect from the Tosk models. We show that the adapted Gheg mod-els outperform the speaker dependent Gheg model on an intelligibility and dialect classification task. Furthermore we show that the speaker dependent Tosk model outperforms a formant based synthesizer on an intelligibility, dialect classifica-tion and pair-wise comparison task. This formant based synthesizer is the only publicly available synthesizer for Albanian at the moment. We also show that our Gheg and Tosk synthesizers are as intelligible as natural speech. Applying machine learning algorithms for detecting vandalism in two languages are described in th... more Applying machine learning algorithms for detecting vandalism in two languages are described in this paper. Vandalism is a major issue in Wikipedia as it accounts for about 1% of edits during 2015. The majority of vandalism is from human editors, whose vandalism can be traced through access and edit logs. In this paper, we propose using a list of classifiers in one language, and then evaluate them across languages in two datasets: the hourly count of views of each Wikipedia article, and the used edit history of articles. For this purpose, Simple English and Albanian Wikipedia datasets will be used. The results obtained show that the characteristic features of vandalism can be learned from view and edit patterns, and models built in one language can be applied successfully to other languages.

In recent years we witness that computers and Information Technologies (IT) are increasingly beco... more In recent years we witness that computers and Information Technologies (IT) are increasingly becoming an integral part of the everyday activities of all strata of human society. Users differ considerably among themselves, so except for differences by age and level of education, they are from different countries, speak different languages, belong to different races, have different religious affiliations, vary by culture and national traditions. Also the aim of using such devices is quite different. They may be used for entertainment or for performing various daily activities and professional services, which are an inseparable part of contemporary society. The role of the equipment in question is undeniable, primarily in the sphere of education and professionalism, as well as in providing benefits for the whole human society. But anyway, we should not leave aside the possibility of misuse of such equipment by individuals, which can grow from improper behavior up to cyber crime. In fact, the human society faces new challenges and with crisis in perception and in particular conditioned by the rapid development of computer science and information technologies. In the context of searching for the answer to the question what are the challenges that human society will face when using computers and IT in the following decade, a case study was conducted in collaboration with students and employees of the SEE University 1 in Macedonia. The results of this research are presented within the paper.
