The authors of this chapter review the theory of the discipline’s classics to examine the connections between the social world and the physical environment and analyze how climate change shapes and is shaped by political, social, and economic relationships. Sociological reflection contributes to seeing climate change as a complex of common, local, and global goods. The debate also hinges on how climate change is experienced differently by those in a state of vulnerability. Through important transdisciplinary research, social sciences will be able to analyze the social transitions in progress, trace solutions for “adaptation” proposals, and change behaviors and perceptions of different social actions.

Accordingly, the VAX-TRUST project has been developed to improve experiences of HCPs and patients dealing with vaccinations. To support VAX-TRUST, this work aimed to identify latest interventions targeted at HCPs to address hesitancy and increase vaccine uptake. Methods A systematic review was conducted according to PRISMA by searching PubMed, Scopus and Embase. The protocol was registered on PROSPERO. Articles were eligible if evaluated interventions directly targeted at HCPs/healthcare students. The search was run on 26 January 2022. Articles published in 2016 or after were included. Results A total of 17 492 records were identified; 139 articles were selected. Most articles were set in USA (n = 110). Over half had a pre–post design without a control group (n = 78). A total of 41 articles focused on single-component interventions, 60 on...

The authors formulated the concept of “strategic leadership competence of a future teacher” and presented the components and indicators of the competence. The effectiveness of the curriculum “Pedagogical management and management in modern school” developed and implemented in the educational process in forming the competence of strategic leadership of a future teacher is proved. Confirmation is maintained by the presented results of the study, which showed positive dynamics in the level of the researched competence formation.

None of the participants refused the diagnostic treatment. From July to October 2021, 1384 people received a complete cycle of the COVID-19 vaccine through the program. 632 (45.6%) also agreed to perform the antibodies testing before inoculation. 318 (50.31%) of these were positive at the time of vaccination. Conclusion: We present a cost-effective model for reducing structural barriers to access diagnostic and preventive services for the homeless and undocumented population that can b...

This link between climate change and health, a theme that we have named “pathoclima” (a neologism of the authors), an amplification of pathologies due to the increasing impact of climate change on society and the environment, is the subject of this contribution. Firstly, we present an analysis of the state of the climate and its impact on some respiratory, neurodegenerative, and mental health diseases. Then, we discuss some of the main conclusions of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report, and finally, we suggest that only through a transdisciplinary approach can we achieve the goal of zero net emissions by 2050. Only following a transdisciplinary approach, we could address climate change taking into account also all biological and sociological aspects of the problem.
