This problem is already faced by wearable devices, with some limits. The system proposed consists in monitoring the bed, instead of the patient, through applied sensors. By centralizing and analyzing the data collected it is possible to inform the operative center of the occurrence of risky events. The scope is preventing such risks or mitigating their effects with a real time intervention. Important 4.0 features are added to the new release presented in this extension, like Digital Twins and Cyber Physical Systems enhanced with Artificial Intelligence. The case study proposed in the original paper has been updated with new figures, widely improving the sustainability of the initiative.

Starting from a concise introduction HLA, the chapter proposes a simple hands-on with a complete implementation example of HLA. Successfully achieved the ability to create small federations, the reader is guided by two real life application of distributed simulation: the first is related to a supply chain modeling for the aerospace industry while the second one is focused on logistic platforms modeling. The authors have edited this chapter keeping in mind usual difficulties that can be encountered in real life projects: for such purpose a reference implementation and full code examples are provided in order to ensure a smooth but effective learning curve. The reader will also find suggestions for proper management of HLA-based simulation projects.

This is due to the fact that patient control is a frequent procedure without necessarily performing a practical task. This is one and the most important reasons for which an orthodontist goes through a fast check on more than 40 patients a day. Updating data needs to be speedy as well as the orthodontic software in general. This paper outlines a new methodology that has been designed to meet these standards, involving use of the newest technologies available like Wi-Fi and remote database access. A real life application is presented and the main advantages are discussed.

Many are the approaches to solve the problem. The simplest approach is offered by the examination of real situation, invoking the historic data. But it\u2019s not always possible and so is needed using the simulation method for implementing the model over time and testing the real-world. In this case there\u2019s no possibility to have a set of real data, and so is necessary using a meta-model which is the best representation of real data A simulator in which participate many federators the test and validation of simulated process is more difficult because there is the necessity to validate all the federators stand-alone and in the same time the entire federation, in which can participate all the federates or only someone of them
