Davide received his PhD in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Calabria, Italy, in 2004.
From November 2014 he is Associate Professor (Reader) in Cognitive Robotics and Intelligent Systems at the University of Plymouth, UK.
Since January 2014 Davide is coordinator of the EU-LLP project "ENACT: Enhancing Negotiation skills through on-line Assessment of Competencies and interactive mobile Training". See the website for more information and playable demos: www.enactskills.eu
From October 2007 to October 2014 he was Lecturer in Cognitive Robotics and Intelligent Systems at the University of Plymouth, UK.
From 2004 to 2007 he was researcher at the National Research Council, in Italy, working with Prof. Stefano Nolfi.
His research interests are focused on Evolutionary robotics models of behavior and evolution of communication and language.
Recently he is also interested in GPU programming with NVIDIA CUDA framework, for which he also delivers training sessions for NVIDIA in various Universities in the UK.
Davide is Programme Manager of all undergraduate Robotics courses at Plymouth University.
Davide collaborates with many researchers and has been visiting researcher in various Institutions, such as the EPFL with Prof. Dario Floreano, The University of Tokyo with Prof. Takashi Ikegami and at Osaka University with Hiroiuky Iizuka.
