Since the first case of 2019 novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) detected on Jan 30, 2020, in In... more Since the first case of 2019 novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) detected on Jan 30, 2020, in India, the number of cases rapidly increased to 3819 cases including 106 deaths as of 5 April 2020. Taking this into account, in the present work, we are studying a Bats-Hosts-Reservoir-People transmission fractional-order COVID-19 model for simulating the potential transmission with the thought of individual social response and control measures by the government. The real data available about infectious cases from $14^{th}$ March to $26^{th}$ March 2020 is analysed and accordingly various parameters of the model are estimated or fitted. The Picard successive approximation technique and Banach's fixed point theory have been used for verification of the existence and stability criteria of the model. Abstract Herein, we present a practical, more efficient, environmentally friendly method for the ... more Abstract Herein, we present a practical, more efficient, environmentally friendly method for the synthesis of 1,5-benzodiazepine via condensation of benzene-1,2-diamine with commercially available ketones. The reaction was performed using various heterogeneous clay based catalysts, including Montmorillonite-K10, Montmorillonite-KSF, Kaoline, and bentonite, and also other clay supported transition metals based catalysts such as, Cu(II)-clay, Pd/Montmorillonite-KSF, Ni/Montmorillonite-KSF, Co/Montmorillonite-KSF, Sn/KSF, and Zn/Montmorillonite-KSF. Among various metal-clay based catalysts tested, Copper (II) adsorbed on clay nanocatalyst was found to be very efficient and showed promising activity for the formation of nitrogen containing heterocycle compound i.e. 1,5-benzodiazepine with excellent yields. An assortment of structurally diverse 1,5-benzodiazepine was prepared in good to excellent yields from easily available starting materials by using this protocol. The catalyst was found to be applicable to aromatic, heteroaryl and aliphatic ketone such as cyclic ketones as well as acyclic ketones.
A simple and efficient BF3-OEt2 promoted C3-alkylation of indole has been developed to obtain3-in... more A simple and efficient BF3-OEt2 promoted C3-alkylation of indole has been developed to obtain3-indolylsuccinimidesfrom commercially available indoles and maleimides, with excellent yields under mild reaction conditions. Furthermore, anti-proliferative activity of these conjugates was evaluated against HT-29 (Colorectal), Hepg2 (Liver) and A549 (Lung) human cancer cell lines. One of the compounds, 3w, having N,N-Dimethylatedindolylsuccinimide is a potent congener amongst the series with IC50 value 0.02 µM and 0.8 µM against HT-29 and Hepg2 cell lines, respectively, and compound 3i was most active amongst the series with IC50 value 1.5 µM against A549 cells. Molecular docking study and mechanism of reaction have briefly beendiscussed. This method is better than previous reports in view of yield and substrate scope including electron deficient indoles.

An efficient Sonochemistry methodology for the oxidation of alcohols to corresponding carbonyl co... more An efficient Sonochemistry methodology for the oxidation of alcohols to corresponding carbonyl compounds by Fe(NO 3) 3 as an oxidant in presence of tetra butyl ammonium bromide at ambient temperature is described. It has been observed that in case of primary alcohol the oxidation reaction is arrested at aldehyde level only. The aqueous phase containing oxidant and catalyst is reusable.
