In its successful journey, trained pool of employees has proved to be an asset for Aarong. This report has been prepared to explore the performance appraisal system of Aarong which motivates its employees to work toward organizational goals. This report is exploratory in nature. Using convenience sampling, Aarong Mogbazar outlet was chosen. Twelve respondents were selected using purposive sampling for interview. Primary date is gathered through questionnaire (attached in Appendix section of the report) and informal interviews of the employees working in management level and sales. Relevant articles from websites served as secondary source.Not getting access to enough internal information from employees due to organizational protocol is the main limitation of the report.It is clear from the above study that Aarong has adopted more than 50% of the best practices for just employee performance appraisals provided by Richard A. Posthuma, and Michael A. Campion. Taking participative approach can further improve effectiveness of the system and get appreciation from the employees.

Aziz Pipes Limited is a manufacturing company of PVC pipes & fittings, PVC foam sheet and PVC Profiles. Its previous achievements includes receiving National Export Trophy Award for the years 1997-98. But it has failed to keep up with strong competitors who have gained and sustained competitive advantage through their continuous focus to develop efficiency, quality, innovation and customer responsiveness. To find out the financial performance of Aziz Pipes Ltd, first of all, industry analysis has been done using Porter’s Five Forces Model. Then company analysis has been done using ratio analysis, potential analysis and financial distress prediction. Data have been gathered from the company’s annual report and audited financial statement collected from the company’s official website and LankaBangla Financial Portal. Interesting observation has been made regarding the market price of the company’s share. It has been explained by traders’ behavior which shows contradiction to investment fundamentals. And finally, some suggestions have been given which can be practiced by the company to increase working capital, stand strongly among competitors and regain its lost glory.

The statistical procedures of descriptive statistics have been used to organize, summarize and describe pertinent data of our sample. Frequency distributions, measures of location and dispersion with graphs according to the level of data (nominal, ordinal, interval, and ratio) have been explored. Inferential statistics, by definition is the branch of statistics that generalizes the larger population that the sample represents. It has been used in this report to make predictions about the population from observations and analysis of the sample. Under this category, probability concepts, one sample tests hypothesis, different features of regression and correlation analysis etc. have been discussed.

Then topics like budget line, elasticity of demand, optimal level of activity, marginal rate of substitution, substitution effect and income effect have been discussed.
This work aims to offer an insight into the attitude of madrasa educated people on women’s rights... more This work aims to offer an insight into the attitude of madrasa educated people on women’s rights in Bangladesh. The study also investigates factors behind their perceptions before proceeding to disclose the nature of relationship between them. Dakhil (secondary) level students of Alia Madrasas was chosen as the target population of this study. Two Alia madrasas were chosen using convenience sampling. Ten respondents were selected from each madrasa using probability sampling. Method triangulation was employed to conduct this study as it allowed to be thorough and get a stereoscopic view of the research topic. Primary data for the study was collected through semi-structured group interview where the questionnaire (attached in the appendix section) contained a number of open-ended questions. Basic descriptive document analysis was employed to collect secondary data from both formal and informal channels (lists in references and bibliography sections) for a detailed study of available relevant information on the research topic. First, qualitative analysis was employed to analyze the data. To expand the applicability of the qualitative findings, the data was quantified and analyzed using a quantitative paradigm. Approximately three-quarters of the respondents in this study showed conditional support for women’s rights. Factors like misinterpretation of religion, negative portrayal in media, socio-economic status, having sister and gender relation in family were found out to have more or less association with their overall attitude towards the cause.

It highlights the consequences of these projects particularly on the indigenous women who remain in peripheral position in our society because of their religious and ethnic identity. The work then suggests some alternatives which can have positive impact both on the local environment and inhabitants.
