Over the past thirteen years, BuildSys has been an interdisciplinary conference that brings together various stakeholders including researchers, practitioners, and policymakers from different disciplines including civil engineering, mechanical engineering, environmental science, electrical and computer engineering, system management and control, and many others. This year is no exception, with papers and attendees from all these disciplines and regions of the world. The focus of the conference is continuing to extend beyond building systems to the built environment more generally.
