cv Professor Xenophon Moussas is a charismatic lecturer that charms the audience in many subjects. Well known for his studies of the oldest known computer, the Antikythera Mechanism and interesting contributions in Space Physics and outreach. His awards include: the American Geophysical Union, Boston, 2001,  the NASA group achievement award for Ulysses Space Mission, 2009 and  the Hipparchus award, Arcadia, Athens, 2010. His research interests include the study of oldest computer Antikythera Mechanism, the History of Astronomy, the history of Philosophy and Civilization, Space Physics, Solar physics, Space experiments, the Franco-Greek Solar Radio Spectrograph, Saturn, Titan and Enceladus, the use of ancient astronomy and astrophysics in teaching children, students and adult. Participates in many spacecraft experiments of NASA and ESA. He has supervised  20 PhDs, 20 M.Sc. theses and 250 B.Sc. theses. Author or coauthor of books Space Physics, Greek Open University Publishing House, Patras, 2003. The Antikythera Mechanism, the oldest computer, Hellenic Physical Society, Athens, 2011, 2nd ed. 2012. Notes for the students on (a) Astrophysics, (b) Space Physics, (c) Astrophysics Laboratories workbook. more than 110 articles in scientific journals, 150 in Encyclopedias, 200 in scientific conferences.
