Four new species and two new subspecies, viz., C. dravida, C. josephi (josephi josephi and josephi malaisei), C. Santoshae and C. shiva are described. A key is provided for the identification of all the Oriental species and subspecies of Cymodusa. The male genitalia of C. shiva, sp. nov. are

In this paper, we outline the methodology which is embedded in fuzzy logic for modelling and control in retrospect. We give also a conceptual framework for cognitive controllers, a new type of controllers having adaptive and learning abilities and which are based upon a neural-net framework. The learning and adaptive capabilities, along with the simplicity of designing the control ...

Neural networks, including support vector machines (SVMs), and principal component analysis (PCA)... more Neural networks, including support vector machines (SVMs), and principal component analysis (PCA) etc., and their applications have received increasing attentions from many fields such as information processing and systems control. In this paper, we study some useful features of the neural networks, support vector machines and principal component analysis, and apply these methods to the information processing, localization and navigation

A rigid and constraint consistent graph is called persistent graph. A persistent graph is minimally persistent if it is persistent, and no edge can be removed without losing its persistence. An acyclic (free of cycles in its sensing pattern) minimally persistent graph of Leader-Follower structure has been considered here which can be constructed from an initial Leader-Follower seed (initial graph with two vertices, one is Leader and another one is First Follower and one edge in between them is directed towards Leader) by Henneberg sequence (a procedure of growing a graph) containing only vertex additions. A set of nonlinear optimization-based decentralized control laws f...

The dynamics of each constituent neural subpopulation represents a fundamental neural information processing element (PE) of a complex neural system. Phase plane analysis is used in this paper to show how such antagonistic positive acting (excitatory) and negative acting (inhibitory) PEs can generate diverse steady-state and temporal phenomena when the nonlinear system parameters of the PEs are altered. By modifying a selected set of parameters, it is possible to program the positive and negative PEs to exhibit various dynamic attributes such as multiple stable states, transient response behavior and limit-cycle oscillations. These dynamic attributes may be used to perform a variety of useful computational tasks in signal processing and vision systems such as short-term memory (STM), temporal...
