A key objective of the effort is to restore and maintain fish populations in the main stem of the San Joaquin River, from below the Friant Dam to the confluence of the Merced River. In addition to the renewed flows, the restoration effort has brought about several upgraded and new water quality monitoring stations equipped with dissolved oxygen (DO) and temperature sensors.

Some investigators in the relevant research communities will use ECO data, traditionally by developing their own client-side services to acquire data and then manually create custom tools to integrate and analyze it.

An effective approach to this problem is to automatically search a space of possible designs. Since these design spaces are often large and complex, an important issue is how to control the search. This paper describes the search architecture used by the APT system for the automatic design of graphical presentations of relational information and discusses how it might be modified to handle more difficult design spaces.

This paper is an evaluative paper that examines users' experience with one-way constraints in two user interface development toolkits, Garnet and Amulet, over a 15-year time span. The lessons gained from this examination can help guide the design of future constraint systems.

People often mitigate the effects of uncertainty by adding slack based on experience and non-stochastic analyses such as the critical path method (CPM). This is costly as it leads to longer than necessary schedules, and can be ineffective without a clear understanding of where slack is needed. COMPASS is an interactive real-time tool that analyzes schedule uncertainty for a stochastic task network.

Thus, the ability to package portions of the specification of user interfaces into components that can be reused in the construction of many interfaces, and the ability to change an application's user interface without impacting the implementation of the functionality are crucial.

The coordination of multi-agent teams in uncertain, dynamic domains is a challenging problem requiring the fusion of techniques from many disciplines.

The language is an extension of HTML that includes constructs for specifying how to present one or more instances of a given class of data, and constructs for tailoring the presentation to the features of the data, to information in user profiles and to the capabilities of the user s platform. We describe the architecture of the system, the features of the page specification language, and present examples of generated pages.

The Linked Open Data continues to grow rapidly, but a limitation of much of the data that is being published is the lack of a semantic description. While there are tools that help users to quickly convert a database into RDF, they do not provide a way to easily map the data into an existing ontology. This paper presents an approach that allows users to interactively map their structured sources into an existing ontology and then use that mapping to generate RDF triples.

Introduction rogram affordability is one of the cornerstones of long-term sustainability of NASA's vision for Space Exploration Systems. At the very least, this vision depends upon 1) public interest and support, 2) programmatic infrastructure, and 3) application of emerging technologies that create unprecedented capabilities. Efficiency and supply-chain logistics are key contributors to program affordability, and are dependent on infrastructure and application of emerging technologies.

A number of factors make this difficult.(For a more detailed discussion of these issues, see Neches, 92.) These include: limited understanding of the agent's capabilities, limited understanding of the language available to instruct the agent, limited ability to think and communicate in terms of algorithms, limited ability to analyze interactions between high-level requests.
