Muhammad Moj

I did my Masters (Development Policy) as well as Ph.D. (Social Sciences) from Australia. I hold more than 20 years of job experience. Most of my experience relates to the public sector of Pakistan. Apart from that I have also worked in the development sector mostly as a Consultant. In this connection, I worked with the Punjab Rural Support Program, Plan International, JICA, CIDA, Network for Consumer Protection, Asian Development Bank, to name a few.  In the public sector, I have worked in dozens of Ministries/Departments e.g. Ministries of Education, Capital Administration & Development, Social Welfare, Women Development, National Counter-Terrorism Authority, etc. I also worked as Principal Research Officer at the COMSATS University, Islamabad in 2016. Presently, I am working as Director General at the National School of Public Policy since 2019. My job responsibilities include conducting research on public policy issues as well as designing and organizing mandatory training courses for the senior civil servants of Pakistan. My book ' Deoband Madrassah Movement: Countercultural Trends and Tendencies' has been published by Anthem Press, London. My current research is focused on the Taliban 2.0 especially in the context of this movement's religious roots in Dobandi Islam.
