【Fungi Associated with Sand and Plants from Marine Coastlines: Potential Relevance for Human Health】
#论文发表# #沿海# #植物# #真菌# #健康# The fungal flora of coastal beach sand and plants in the immediate vicinity of marine bathing areas is an under-studied field of study, despite its potential impact on human health. This study isolates and identifies the cultivable mycobiota associated with sandy beaches and plants from the marine coastal systems of Gran Canary Island (Canary Archipelago, Spain), through culture-dependent and -independent methods, with particular attention to isolating fungi that are of high clinical importance. The results highlight the important role of plants in the immediate vicinity of marine bathing areas and beach sand as a natural reservoir for human pathogenic fungi.
