Ibnu Budiman
Independent researcher, environmental geographer, and liberal artsy currently based in Bali
Ibnu Budiman is a researcher in Su-re.co (Sustainability and Resilience), an environmental consulting company based in Bali, Indonesia, specializing in research, consultation, capacity development of the environment, sustainability, climate change, green economy, and energy. He has been working in several research projects in collaboration with European Comission Horizon2020 Research and Innovation Programmes, United Nations Industrial Development Organisation, Asian Development Bank and Japan International Cooperation Agency.
He did volunteering in Glooscape Heritage Center (Canada) and Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation (Indonesia). After leaving the social work, he served as a research assistant for two researchs by University of Toronto about political culture and one research from National University of Singapore regarding urban space. His recent years' academic affiliations include the Sydney University, University of Malaya, Udayana University and University of Indonesia, where Ibnu earned his degree from Geography Department. While at the University of Indonesia, he served as the Chairperson of Research Student Club at university level, dedicated to education, research, and civic engagement. is currently master candidate for environmental science in Wageningen University.
