The villain acts as an agent of misfortune, damage, or harm to disturb the peace of those happily living their lives. The villain oftentimes dons a disguise to deceive those objects of said villainy. Villains usually cause harm or injury to the families of those they target. The victim unwittingly submits to the villain’s deception and thereby helps their enemy. In literary tradition the villain is often defeated and sometimes punished.
