This article examines three issues concerning the cultic identity of Asherah: 1) Was she represented by a living tree or a wooden object? 2) Was she conceived as the goddess or the cultic object in the religious context of ancient Israel? 3) Is there any significant difference among the three grammatical forms: ’asˇerah, ’asˇerôt and ’asˇerîm? The evidence in favor of Asherah as a wooden object is the weightiest in the Bible. ’asˇerîm (the masculine plural form) clearly refers to the cult objects at the high places, while ’asˇerah (the singular form) can occur everywhere, in a temple setting or at the high places. ’asˇerôt (the feminine plural form) emphasizes the femininity of the goddess in association with the male deity, Baal. From this it can be inferred that the Israelites considered Asherah as a consort of Baal according to the Deuteronomistic anti-Asherah ideology that influenced the later period of the Monarchy.

OBJETIVO: Avaliar o impacto do isolamento social, devido à pandemia pela Covid-19, na saúde mental dos idosos. METODOLOGIA: É uma revisão sistemática, na qual foi realizado buscas de alta sensibilidade, por estudos qualitativos e observacionais.Os resultados foram exportados para o Rayaan, plataforma na qual os pesquisadores se basearam em critérios de inclusão e exclusão pré definidos para a seleção final. O presente artigo aborda a questão da reciclagem de lixo, focando-se na figura dos catadores e seu papel enquanto promotora de melhoria da qualidade ambiental. Discorre sobre o tema da eco-cidadania, da psicologia do compromisso e do desenvolvimento de valores democráticos. Além disso, aborda os catadores, seu trabalho, renda e cidadania, a partir de uma perspectiva histórica. Desta forma, discute-se no decorrer do texto a atividade de reciclagem num contexto de promoção de uma eco-cidadania. Nesse sentido, a partir de uma ação desenvolvida com 15 catadoras de cinco cooperativas da Região Metropolitana de Porto Alegre, que se focava na promoção de sua autoestima e empoderamento, busca-se colocar em evidência a importância da educação enquanto um elemento promotor de emancipação e promoção da cidadania.  

To cope with the high number of nanomaterials manufactured, it is essential to develop high-throughput methods for in vitro toxicity screening. At the same time, the issue with interference of the nanomaterial (NM) with the read-out or the reagent of the assay needs to be addressed to avoid biased results. Thus, validated label-free methods are urgently needed for hazard identification of NMs to avoid unintended adverse effects on human health. The colony forming efficiency (CFE) assay is a label- and interference-free method for quantification of cytotoxicity by cell survival and colony forming efficiency by CFE formation. The CFE has shown to be compatible with toxicity testing of NMs. Here we present an optimized protocol for a higher-throughput set up.

Proposed by Ivan Illich in the 1970s, the deschooling society was one of the most contentious and radical thoughts in education in terms of its critics against compulsory education around the globe and proposals in the name of networks in which everyone in need of learning and teaching can participate to learn and teach anywhere and anytime without any prescriptions or proscriptions. With the advent of the internet and technology, the paradigmatic change towards post-method pedagogy in education and ELT, and the constricting current pandemic state, we have been much closer than ever to the actualization of deschooling society. This work, as a caveat, was not solely formed to deliver brief information about the contents of the book but rather also to reassess, renew, and readapt the deschooling concept of the 1970s into the 21st-century digital era at the time of the COVID-19 pandemic with the implications of a post-modern understanding of ELT. The issue discussed in the present paper is in general about the way of formal compulsory education through schooling, yet in specific the implications of deschooling on ELT in the current chaotic state of the world. Therefore, a brief reappraisal of the book was preliminarily outlined, and later its connections with ELT within the framework of post-method pedagogy were explicated in the revival part.
